Mimi Soya – New EP & UK Tour!

MiMi Soya announce brand new EP & UK Tour

Brighton pop-rockers MiMi Soya are hitting the road this May/ June in support of their stunning new EP ‘I Can’t Stand Pop Bands…’, due out on 14th June through LAB Records.

The four-strong band spent 2009 on tour with Fueled By Ramen’s Cobra Starship, sharing stages with the likes of Set Your Goals, Go: Audio, Newton Faulkner and Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, and shifted a whopping 5000 copies of their last EP in the process. With the new decade, a new approach has been adopted by the band. They’ve been locked away with Romesh Dodangoda (Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend) at Longwave Studios honing some huge pop anthems to compliment their sunny, addictive melodies and stirring guitar riffs. It’s a bit of a rebirth as guitarist Chris explains;

“I’m sooooo excited for everyone to hear the new EP. Expect from us a brand new, stronger sound with a theme of recovery running through its veins. It’s a phoenix-like rebirth! It’s full of feel-good tracks with humorous, tongue-in-cheek lyrics and we’ve had an awesome time putting it together! It’s been an incredible year for us, with so much going on. We played a sell-out tour of Holland, recorded in Wales with Romesh who has been making our music rock harder than ever before!”

The full track listing will be 1) Millionaire 2) Told You So 3) I Can’t Stand Pop Bands… 4) Doctor! Doctor!
